Dru Woods- Storyteller
Dru Woods is a professional storyteller. She provides programs for early childhood though Senior Adults which are designed to motivate reading and to instill an appreciation of literature and storytelling. With her 30 years of experience in teaching Speech and Theatre, Dru brings a creative and enthusiastic atmosphere to each event. Music and puppetry are incorporated to bring a magical experience to the listener. Refreshments provided by WoodmenLife.

Daingerfield State Park Program
Daingerfield State Park, in Morris County southwest of Texarkana, is a 506.913-acre (2.05140 km2) recreational area (including 80-acre (320,000 m2) Lake Daingerfield), deeded in 1935 by Georgia Anna 'Chambers' Connor, and opened in 1938. The park offers picnicking; camping; boating (5 MPH speed limit); fishing; swimming in an unsupervised swimming area; hiking; and nature study. A seasonal concession (March - October) rents pedal boats and canoes. Tours may be arranged by special request. Year-round boat rentals are available. A park employee will present an animal program. Gene & Peggy (Twice Upon A Time Storytellers)
Telling together since 2000, Twice Upon a Time Storytellers utilize the ancient art of storytelling to explore the complex and challenging issues facing us in our modern society. Through the experience of listening to and sharing stories, children and adults alike can be united in their families, schools, work places, communities and therapeutic settings. Storytelling opens us up to understanding the connections we have with others around our wonderful globe. Discover this new world with Dallas storytellers Gene and Peggy Helmick-Richardson. Chemistry Roadshow, Texas A&M
Using sensory impact, we hope students will learn that: chemistry, unlike magic, is comprehensible they already comprehend some of it chemistry is a human activity, one that real people love and find exciting chemistry and chemicals, like any other kind of knowledge and technology, are safe and beneficial when used carefully and intelligently Most of all, we hope students will remember the excitement and surprise they feel during our demonstrations.
